I’m Allison Manchester owner of ALM Photography & Design.

Upon my recent graduation from Kansas State University, I moved to Emporia, KS where I now base my business out of…although a lot of my time is spent on the road.

I grew up in Northwest Indiana raising and showing cattle, and participated in my first show at the age of 4. My passion for the industry continued to grow throughout my junior career. I loved everything about the early mornings, late nights and countless hours of hard work. I was fortunate to have many successes during my junior career, the most memorable one was being named the Champion Showman at the 2015 National Junior Angus Show.

My dad involved me in every aspect of our small cow herd. My favorite time of the year was sale time because dad let me take the photos of the calves we were selling. It didn’t always go smooth, however I loved every moment of it. Since then, I have always dreamed of combining my passion for photography and the livestock industry.

In the fall of 2012, I moved to El Dorado, KS to attend school at Butler Community College. During my 2 years there I was a member of the livestock judging team and competed at contests across the country. My time spent there was definitely not wasted; I learned a ton about the industry and myself. In June of 2014 I took a job with LC Promotions, I worked under Lacey for about a year and a half. I was able to get hands on experience in the photography business during my time with her. I learned the ins and out of the business and also made connections with industry leaders. I am very thankful for my experiences with LC but knew I needed to follow my heart and branch out on my own.

I have always dreamed about having my own photography business, but never thought it could be a reality. To say the least, I am extremely excited about the road ahead.
